Brainerd man buried in avalanche dies in New Mexico hospital

Level 3 offender moving to Hillman

Donald William Warren

HILLMAN—Level 3 sex offender Donald William Warren is moving to a residence in Hillman.

A Level 3 sex offender community notification meeting is scheduled at 6 p.m. May 24 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Hillman, and will be hosted by the Minnesota Department of Corrections and the Morrison County Sheriff's Office.

Warren was convicted of criminal sexual conduct or another offense that requires registration with law enforcement. Warren is not wanted by the police at this time and has served the sentence imposed on him by the court. The notification and community meeting is not intended to increase fear in the community, but rather to raise awareness, a news release stated. The sheriff's office believes an informed public is a safer public.

According to a Minnesota Court of Appeal unpublished court document filed May 20, 2003, Warren was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in Mille Lacs County District Court. It stated on Dec. 2, 2002, a 4-year-old girl and her sister were dropped off at Warren's house so he and his wife could babysit them. The 4-year-old told her mother the next morning that Warren sexually assaulted her.
