Unlimited Learning announces event to discuss Oman

CROSBY—Local educators Gary Payne and Mary Rosenberg will speak about their trip to Oman at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby.

Payne and Rosenberg visited Oman recently and experienced the social transformation going on in the small progressive nation bordering Yemen and Saudi Arabia. History and current events seen through photographic eyes as well as interaction with the peoples of a rarely visited nation in the Arab world will be discussed, a news release stated.

The event is sponsored by Lakes Area Unlimited Learning, a nonprofit organization started in 2001, with a mission to provide quality and broad-based learning opportunities to residents with emphasis on mature adults.

Cost is $5 for non-members, and free to students and Heartwood residents.
