Cypress Drive work this week is focused on street paving.

Landwehr Construction reports plans are to continue to have multiple work crews on the project. At the College Road/Cypress Drive intersection they plan to focus on road building with bituminous street paving starting midweek, Scott Hedlund, senior project manager with Short Elliott Hendrickson reported in an email update Friday, June 14.

On Cypress Drive, between College Road and the railroad tracks and on Industrial Park Road, Landwehr is planning ongoing concrete and bituminous driveway work, starting trail paving, and continuing with miscellaneous grading, topsoil, and turf restoration activities behind the curbs, Hedlund reported.

On the portion of the project north of the railroad tracks, Hedlund noted there will continue to be miscellaneous grading, signal, bituminous paving, and turf restoration work over the next few weeks. There will also be more pavement marking activities coming this summer on Highway 210 and elsewhere.

BNSF Railway and Minnesota Department of Transportation work testing the new railroad grade crossing signals and their interaction with the traffic signal near the Highway 210/Cypress Drive intersection will be ongoing over the next several weeks, subject to change.

All planned work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Industrial Park Road remains open to traffic (with construction work being done under traffic along that corridor), and the College Road/Cypress Drive intersection area will remain closed through early July. There are posted detours for College Road traffic.
