STEPHEN, Minn.-Authorities were investigating an apparent drowning over the weekend at a campground in Marshall County.
They were called around 7 p.m. Saturday, June 18, to Florian Park Campground after Dustinio Casares, 5, went missing.
Police say he was playing with his younger siblings and other kids near the shoreline of the Tamarac River when he wandered into the water.
Several adults were nearby in the picnic area.
Around 1 a.m. Sunday, the Grand Forks Water Operations Team found a body about 30 feet offshore underneath a submerged dock.

Casares’ father told Forum News Service it was his son’s body that was recovered. It has been sent to the coroner at the University of North Dakota.
Nearly 500 people, including first responders and volunteers, helped in the six-hour search.
