A 63-year-old man was injured when the Ford truck he was driving Friday struck a deer on Highway 6 in Cass County, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
James F. Edgar of Cohasset was southbound on Highway 6, when his vehicle struck a deer and went off the road. When the Ford left the road, it hit an approach to a driveway and went airborne and landed up against a tree, the state patrol said.
Edgar was transported to the Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
The crash was reported at 2:28 p.m.
