ROYALTON — A 7-year-old boy was injured Friday, June 5, when the all-terrain vehicle he was driving down a driveway was hit by a trailer being pulled by an SUV.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was called at 3:26 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash involving an ATV near a residence on Friends Court, a mile northwest of Royalton in Bellevue Township.
According to the sheriff’s office, Andrew Dancer, 39, of Royalton, was traveling east on Friends Court with an SUV pulling a trailer. The 7-year-old Royalton boy was driving the ATV to the end of the driveway to get the mail. When the ATV turned around it was struck by the trailer driven by Dancer.
The boy was transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls with unknown injuries. The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Royalton First Response Team.
