HARDING — A 7-year-old Brainerd boy was injured Wednesday, June 17, after being knocked off a tractor a mile south of Harding in Pulaski Township.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was called at 3:56 p.m. to a report of a tractor accident involving a child at a property located off 295th Avenue.
According to the sheriff’s office, Austin Stangl, 26, of Brainerd, was driving an Allis Chalmers Model C tractor with a 7-year-old boy seated next to him. The tractor hit a bump on the trail, knocking the boy off the tractor and causing him to hit his head on the ground.
The boy was transported by personal vehicle to Pierz, where they met up with Mayo Clinic Ambulance. A landing zone was set up and Life Link III transported the boy to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Pierz First Response Team.
