A special school board meeting will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the ISD 181 School Board Meeting Room, 804 Oak St., Brainerd, for the purpose of interviewing potential school board candidates to fill the vacated seat by Director Bob Nystrom.

This interactive meeting is being conducted pursuant to Minn. Stat. 13D.02. Some or all members of the school board may participate in the interactive meeting via an audio and video feed through the YouTube platform. The maximum seating capacity for the public seating section, with 3 feet social distancing observed in the school board meeting room, is calculated to be 23. This number of seats will be maintained.

Tornstrom Auditorium will be set up for extra seating and viewing of the board meeting. For those wanting to participate in the public input, there will be seating in the hallway. There will be public input allowed during the meeting but no disruptive behavior will be tolerated, the administration reported in a news release.
