The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 2:23 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, on the 1500 block of Pine Street. Upon investigation, it was determined the smoke was from sewer maintenance in the area.
Firefighters responded to two more fire alarms Monday: At 4:30 p.m., on the 1400 block of Norwood Street, the alarm was set off from smoke in the area caused by sewer maintenance; and at 7:17 p.m. at the Parkway Apartments, 1204 Campus Drive, with firefighters canceled en route.

Called at 3:32 a.m. for a fire alarm on the 11000 block of Arlington Avenue, which was determined to be unfounded.
Called at 2:57 p.m. for a fire alarm on the 200 block of South Seventh Street, which was determined to be caused from sewer maintenance.
Called at 3:44 p.m. at SE’z Bar, 707 Laurel St., which was determined to be caused by sewer maintenance.
Called at 5:34 p.m. to a fire alarm at Woodland Good Samaritan, 300 Buffalo Hills Lane, which was determined to be caused from burnt food. Firefighters ventilated the area.
Wednesday:

Called at 8:01 a.m. to a fire alarm at CenturyLink Central Station, 402 S. Seventh St., which was determined to be set off by a sewer maintenance issue.
