A pair of Pasque Flowers emerge from dry leaves Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the Northland Arboretum. The word "Pasque" comes from the French word for Easter, which in turn comes from "Pesah" the Hebrew word for Passover. The flower is symbolic of Easter for the Christian faith and Passover for the Jewish faith. They are short-lived and will only last about one week. Steve Kohls / Brainerd Dispatch
