The AARP tax aide program will not resume in the Brainerd area for the remainder of 2020.
Those who must file should seek out a paid preparer or check available online options. For those who haven’t owed taxes in the past and nothing has changed since last year, they can wait until next year to file. Those who file only for a rent credit or Minnesota property tax refund have until Aug. 15, 2021, to file for this year’s refund.
“The AARP Aide volunteers regret that we were unable to help all our clients this tax season,” a news release stated.
