BAXTER - American Association of University Women (AAUW) Branch members from Duluth, Ely, Grand Rapids, Hibbing and Virginia will join AAUW Brainerd Lakes Area Branch members on Sept. 13 for a "Northland Get Together."
The Get Together, from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Northland Arboretum in Baxter, will focus around AAUW's mission of advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.
Eleanor Burkett and Jackie Froemming, Minnesota Extension educators with extensive backgrounds in the sciences, will speak on "Wild for Monarchs" and "Gardening Lessons I Learned the Hard Way." Burkett will also lead a walk through the wildflower gardens of the Arboretum.
