ST. MICHAEL, Minn. — The body of a Maplewood man was recovered Saturday evening, July 6, several hours after he went into the water while tubing on the Crow River in this community on the northwestern edge of the Twin Cities.
Andrew Urbanski, 64, was tubing with two other people in St. Michael when his tube hit a tree and flipped over, according to the Wright County sheriff’s office. Urbanski went into the water about 5 p.m. and did not resurface, a 911 caller said.
Emergency responders from several agencies including the Wright County Dive Team searched and, after several hours, recovered Urbanski’s body.
The incident is under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
