MOORHEAD, Minn. — A man found dead in the Red River late last month has been identified as Jeffrey Lindell, 56, of Moorhead, police said Tuesday, July 9.

Lindell's body was initially spotted floating in the river by M.B. Johnson Park in Moorhead about 4 p.m. June 29.

The body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office in St. Paul for identification after being pulled from the river, according to the Moorhead Police Department.

Foul play is not suspected, but police say they won't know for sure until the final autopsy results are available.
