Rear-end crash sends 2 to hospital

LITTLE FALLS—A sequence of events left two drivers injured as a Ford Escape collided with the back of a commercial truck, which, in turn, caused a Pontiac Grand Prix to hit the rear-end of the Escape.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the three vehicles were traveling north on Highway 10 when the crash occurred at 5:37 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 113th Street in Little Falls Township. The driver of the 1999 International 4000 Series truck, Timothy J. Calhoun, 64, Little Falls, was not injured.

The driver of the Ford, Gregory T. Sanft, 58, Minneapolis, and the driver of the Pontiac, Peter R. Isder, 46, Little Falls, were transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
