Vehicle hits tree, ejects woman through driver's window: Authorities find woman 10 feet away from vehicle
A 41-year-old Brainerd woman was airlifted to a Robbinsdale hospital April 12 after the vehicle she was driving crashed, ejecting her out of the driver's window upon impact with a larger tree.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call at 10:15 p.m. of a driver who hit a tree and was ejected on Crow Wing County Highway 3 in Brainerd. Upon arrival, a deputy located the vehicle in the east ditch of the highway, north of the Mill Avenue Bridge in Brainerd. The driver, Lainie M. Beaulieu, was located injured 10 feet away from the vehicle. Beaulieu was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport and then was flown to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where she was in stable condition Thursday.
The sheriff's office reported the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
