Motorcyclist dies in western Minnesota crash

MONTEVIDEO, Minn. — A 27-year-old motorcyclist died of injuries he suffered in a crash Wednesday night, June 5, in Montevideo.

According to the Montevideo Police, Mario Issac Salazar was driving a motorcycle that left Second Street across the boulevard and into a private resident’s yard around 9:35 p.m.

Emergency responders were called to a motorcycle collision and fire at Second Street and Black Oak Avenue, where they rendered first aid to Salazar.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

His body has been transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s office in Anoka for an autopsy.
