UPDATE: Deerwood man dies in head-on crash with semitrailer

Vehicle crashes into tree, sending 2 people to the hospital

CROSBY—Two Emily residents were injured when the vehicle they were in crashed and struck some trees at 11:32 a.m. Saturday, June 8, on the 18000 block of Crow Wing County Highway 26 in Crosby.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office reported a vehicle driven by Kenneth Herman Baalson, 72, Emily, left the roadway, then went into the ditch and struck some trees. Baalson and his passenger, Laurel Elizabeth Baalson, 69, Emily, were transported by ambulance to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, where they were treated and then released.
