NISSWA -- A 10-year-old boy was injured in a tubing crash involving a personal watercraft and an anchored pontoon Friday, Aug. 16, on Lake Hubert in Nisswa.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to the personal injury crash at 5:59 p.m. The sheriff’s office reported a personal watercraft was pulling a tube with three children on it when one of the children fell off.

The personal watercraft operator, Matthew A. Swanson, 44, Minnetonka, turned around to get the child. As he was turning around the tube carrying the other two children swung around and hit an anchored pontoon. Maxwell A. Swanson, 10, Minnetonka, struck the side of the pontoon and fell off the tube, injuring his arm. The boy was transported to an unknown hospital.

The Nisswa Police Department assisted at the scene.
