PEQUOT LAKES -- A 3-year-old girl suffered head injuries Friday, Aug. 16, after the tube she was riding struck a concrete pillar through the channel between Mayo and Sibley Lake in Pequot Lakes.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident at 3:43 p.m. and reported a personal watercraft was pulling a tube with three individuals on it. While traveling through the channel between Mayo and Sibley Lake, the tube struck a concrete pillar.

Macy R. Lippert, 3, Monticello, suffered head injuries and another passenger Michael R. Poarch, 54, unknown address, suffered bruising. North Memorial Ambulance transported Macy to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, where she was treated and released.
