WADENA — Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a single vehicle rollover crash reported at 2:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, in Wadena County.
The Wadena County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to Blueberry Township. Upon arrival, deputies found a one vehicle rollover crash with three people outside the vehicle. The driver, identified as Jeremy Walkama, 46, of Menahga, stated the three people were in a vehicle driving around on the property. He indicated he lost control of the vehicle due to his speed and that’s when the vehicle rolled. The passengers were Richard Prom, 49, of St. Cloud and Aaron Specht, 25, of Minneapolis.
All three occupants received medical attention; two for minor injuries and one occupant was airlifted out with severe injuries, the sheriff’s office reported. At this time, it is unknown if anyone was wearing their seat belts.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Menahga police and fire departments, Menahga First Responders, Tri-County Ambulance, North Memorial Health Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care.
