SOBIESKI — Two people riding an all-terrain vehicle were injured Sunday, May 24, when the machine rolled southwest of Little Falls.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s office responded to the crash at 7:12 p.m. at the intersection of 110th Street and 110th Avenue, near Sobieski in Swan River Township. According to the sheriff’s office, Thomas Sowada, 39, of Little Falls, was driving a side-by-side ATV with a 37-year-old passenger — Melissa Haggerty of Flensburg. The ATV was traveling north on 110th Avenue and when they got to the intersection of 110th Street they attempted to make a left turn and the ATV rolled.

Sowada and Haggerty were transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls with unknown injuries.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Royalton Police Department and the Bowlus First Response Team.
