LASTRUP — A 34-year-old Rice woman and three children were injured Friday, April 30, when the vehicle the woman was driving crashed, 5 miles east of Lastrup.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was called at 4:01 p.m. to a report of a one-vehicle crash with possible injuries at the intersection of Highway 27 and 335th Avenue, in Granite Township.

The driver, Heather Kingbird, was traveling west on Highway 27 when her vehicle went off the road, struck a mailbox and hit a driveway approach, the sheriff’s office reported.

Kingbird’s vehicle then rolled and came to rest on its side in the ditch. Kingbird and three children were transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with unknown injuries.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Pierz Fire Department, Pierz First Response Team, Hillman Area Response Team and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
