I volunteer because: "I volunteer because I was raised with the belief that giving to others is part of being a good community member. I grew up watching my parents be involved in various organizations and volunteering was always just a part of life. I can't remember a time in my life where I wasn't being encouraged to volunteer."

My most rewarding volunteer experience is or has been: "My most rewarding volunteer experience has been JA, of course! Teaching in my kids' classrooms is such a great experience for me and love that I'm creating memories with my children. I also love how we can talk about JA as part of our daily lives and incorporate the lessons we are learning together. In addition, my work with Brainerd Restoration fuels my inner fire regarding community development. It has been incredibly rewarding being part of that organization's revitalization and serving with such a dynamic and inspiring group of people."
Nominated by: JA Board of Directors (Rachal Wolthuizen), Junior Achievement of the Brainerd Lakes Area.
