State Rep. Dale Lueck received the support of the Aitkin County Republican Party for his reelection bid to the Minnesota House of Representatives.
As a result of the current coronavirus pandemic restrictions on group gatherings, the Aitkin County Republicans conducted their annual convention, including candidate endorsements by teleconference the afternoon of April 11.
According to a news release, Lueck is in his sixth year representing Minnesota House District 10B. The district includes all of Aitkin County and stretches into rural Crow Wing County including the cities of Fort Ripley, Garrison, Crosby, Ironton, Deerwood, Riverton, Trommald, Cuyuna, Manhattan Beach, Crosslake, Emily and Fifty Lakes.
Lueck currently serves as the Republican lead on the House Environmental and Natural Resources Policy Committee and is a senior member of the Agriculture Policy and Finance Committee and the Environmental and Natural Resources Finance Committee. He also serves as vice-chair of the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board and vice-chair of the Legislative Permanent School Trust Commission.
Lueck’s message to the delegates stressed the need for a steady and experienced hand to work through the current difficulties and put the right policies in place to get our economy growing again.

“Lueck’s first concerns are the needs of the citizens of Aitkin and Crow Wing counties, but he has also earned a reputation as the “go-to guy” when it's necessary to get members of both parties together to solve a statewide issue,” Aitkin County Republican Party officials said in a news release.
Because the district Lueck represents encompasses portions of two counties, to complete the endorsement process, delegates from the Crow Wing County Republican Party will also need to make an endorsement decision. It is anticipated the Crow Wing County portion of the process will be completed in the very near future.
Lueck and wife Linda have been married 50 years, and they have two grown children, five grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Lueck graduated from Aitkin Public High School in 1967. While serving in the U.S. Navy he earned a bachelor of science degree in occupation health and safety and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After 28 years of active duty service Lueck retired from the U.S. Navy in 1997. Lueck and Linda currently raise beef cattle on their 340-acre farm in Aitkin County.
