A girl was killed Friday evening in a hit-and-run incident in Aitkin County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The girl was a pedestrian on Minnesota 18 along the north shore of Mille Lacs Lake when she was hit just before 8 p.m., according to a preliminary report from the State Patrol.
A description of the vehicle involved was not available late Friday. The State Patrol is investigating and said more details would be released as information develops.
