An annual roadside cleanup project is underway with the combined efforts of the Crosslake-Ideal Lions Club, Whitefish Property Owners, the Ossawinnamakee, Big Pine Lake Property Owners Associations and neighborhood groups along with the Crow Wing County Highway Department.

Volunteers can select their roadside as well as their own day and time to be completed from April 23-25. The Crow Wing County Highway Department has offered to pick up trash bags along the roadways on April 26 as well as provide trash bags and safety vests.

Volunteers, ages 10 years and up, should wear high socks and boots, work gloves and tick repellent. Participants are reminded to stay a safe distance from the road.

Contact person for trash bags and vest drop off as well as trash bag location for roadside pick up is Sue Scharenbroich, scharenbroich@mac.com or call 612-802-4051.
