SUSPICIOUS - A report at 1:58 p.m. Friday of a suspicious person trying to take the complainant's cat on the 1100 block of Quince Street. When the subject was confronted, they apologized and said they thought the cat was a stray.
A report at 8:21 p.m. Sunday of suspicious activity in a vehicle parked in the parking lot at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center, 523 N. Third St.
A report at 10:48 a.m. Sunday of a truck pulled up to the house when another male got out of the truck, went into the house and then left again on the 700 block of Brian Lane. Complainant thought it was suspicious. Officer checked the area and the vehicle was gone prior to police arrival.
A report at 1:43 a.m. Sunday of a male yelling for help somewhere on the 500 block of North Fourth Street. Officer located an intoxicated male and transported him to some friend's residence.

ARRESTS - A 24-year-old woman was arrested at 12:32 a.m. Monday for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a report of a driver slumped over the steering wheel at Holiday Stationstore, 424 S. Sixth St.
A 24-year-old woman was arrested at 2:33 a.m. Sunday on a probation violation following a report of suspicious activity on the 200 block of South Seventh Street.
A 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were arrested at 2:18 a.m. Saturday on Southwest Fourth Street. The 20-year-old was arrested for fourth-degree DWI and third-degree test refusal. The 19-year-old was arrested for fleeing on foot and underage consumption. Another male was cited for underage consumption and a female was cited for a social host violation.
A 55-year-old man was arrested at 10:57 p.m. Friday for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process following a report of an intoxicated male on Washington Street and Gillis Avenue.
DISTURBANCE - A report at 11:43 p.m. Sunday of an intoxicated person banging on the door of a neighbor's residence on the 1200 block of Laurel Street.
A report at 9:24 p.m. Sunday of a disturbance on the 900 block of Ninth Avenue Northeast.
A report at 11:04 p.m. Saturday of a male out of control and causing a disturbance at Port Group Home for Boys, 1406 Laurel St. Officers arrived and found that subject had calmed down and was in his room.
A report at 7:47 p.m. Friday of a disturbance between two parties at an apartment on the 500 block of Quince Street. Officers determined it was a verbal argument.

THEFT - A report Monday of a theft of a vehicle on the 900 block of Sixth Avenue Northeast.
A report Sunday of a theft of a welder that was taken from an unlocked vehicle in downtown Brainerd.
BURGLARY - A report Sunday of a burglary on the 700 block of Beech Street.
A report Saturday of a burglary on the 700 block of Beech Street.
A report at 11:09 p.m. Saturday of someone breaking into a residence through a window on the 700 block of Beech Street.
DRIVING COMPLAINT - A report at 3:26 p.m. Sunday of of two cars racing through the neighborhood on the 1100 block of 10th Avenue Northeast. Officer was unable to locate.
INTOXICATED - A report at 1:50 am. Sunday of an intoxicated party at Perkins Restaurant, 623 Washington St. Baxter police handled the call and stood by until a taxi arrived and transported them home.

ASSAULT - A report at 1:44 a.m. Sunday of complainant being assaulted by an unknown male and female who were driving a van on the 400 block of South Sixth Street.
A man and a woman were cited at 11:50 p.m. Friday for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct on the 600 block of Laurel Street.
PROWLER - A report at 10:37 p.m. Friday of an unknown person knocking on the door on the 2000 block of Oak Street. Officers arrived and transported a subject to detox.

NOISE COMPLAINT - A report at 3:16 p.m. Sunday of neighbors kids banging on the piano and walls on the 11000 block of Leisure Lane, Brainerd. Caller also said the neighbor flipped the breaker to the heat and turned it off. Deputies responded and spoke to both parties and advised landlord of issues.
A report at 10:22 a.m. Sunday of neighbor on the 11000 block of Leisure Lane, Brainerd, who keeps playing National Anthem music really loud to bother the complainant who has a harassment restraining odor against her because the subject thinks she's anti-American.
DOMESTIC - A report at 10:49 a.m. Sunday of a verbal domestic on the 18000 block of Elk Street, Trommald.
WATER - A report at 4:12 p.m. Saturday of a vehicle that went through the ice in Pequot Lakes.

A report at 9:42 a.m. Saturday of a truck that went through the ice. Turner Towing assisted owner in removing the truck from the water.
PROPERTY DAMAGE - A report at 12:52 p.m. Saturday of a vehicle hitting Blue Goose Liquor, 9341 Highway 169, Garrison.
FIRE - A report at 7:27 p.m. Friday of a grass fire on the 21000 block of Crow Wing County Road 2, Brainerd. A garage and house was about 50 yards away. Pierz Fire responded and fire was put out and under control by homeowner before they arrived. Homeowner was burning a grassy area in front of his house.
SUSPICIOUS - A report at 5:57 a.m. Saturday of suspicious activity on the 23000 block of Cross Drive, Deerwood. Deputies found a vehicle revving its engine on Serpent Lake and were unable to locate anyone.
A report at 5:09 p.m. Friday of a suspicious person around the neighbor's house on the 22000 block of County Road 135, Deerwood. Deputies located and found it was someone waiting to go ice fishing.
THEFT - A report at 10:11 a.m. Saturday of a theft of an auger and fishing rods taken from a truck on the 19000 block of Highway 371, Brainerd. Complainant called back at 11:48 a.m. to say the items were not stolen. A friend had borrowed them and he returned them.
ASSAULT - A report at 3:35 p.m. Friday of a female who was assaulted on the 18000 block of Hartley Lake Road, Brainerd.
DRIVING COMPLAINT - A report Friday of all the cars on Sleepy Hollow Road, Fort Ripley, speed all day and night.

ARRESTS - A 40-year-old man was arrested at 9:19 a.m. Monday on a felony probation violation following a report of a shoplifter at Fleet Farm, 14114 Dellwood Drive. Man also was cited for theft and drug paraphernalia.
A 47-year-old man was arrested at 9:05 p.m. Friday during a traffic stop on Golf Course Drive and Clearwater Road for multiple offenses.
A 30-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were arrested at 11:50 p.m. Friday on Norway Spruce Drive and Cedardale Lane for their alleged involvement with an assault in Brainerd. Brainerd police are investigating.
THEFT - A report Friday of a theft of a Dairy Queen cake, 14136 Baxter Drive. Unknown female suspect left in a older white Jeep with loud exhaust and a broken right rear taillight.
SUSPICIOUS - A report at 5:32 p.m. Friday of a vehicle parked on the road and a person was hiding behind a tree and jumped into the car on the 13000 block of Grand Oaks Drive.
DISTURBANCE - A report at 10:22 a.m. Friday of a male making threats at Lakewood Evangelical Free Church, 6284 Fairview Road. Two residents of an assisted living home got into a dispute while being transported by an employee.
