HACKENSACK-Zebra mussels and climate change effects on fish communities are the guest speaker topics for an upcoming Association of Cass County Lakes Membership Meeting.
The meeting is 9:30 a.m. Thursday at The Hub (formerly the Senior Center) in Hackensack.
Guest speaker for the event is Doug Schultz, DNR area fisheries supervisor. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
The association reported Minnesota residents and visitors to Cass County benefit from the management, habitat and oversight work of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' Walker area fisheries staff members, who manage 126 fishing lakes and 70 miles of rivers and streams.
