ATV crash in Cass County results in serious injury

BACKUS -- A 54-year-old Kimball woman suffered serious injuries when she lost control of her all-terrain vehicle and crashed in rural Backus, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The office received a report of a crash involving a 2019 Suzuki ATV at about 1:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the Spider Lake Recreational Area in the Foot Hills State Forest.

The woman was treated on scene and transported to a Twin Cities hospital via North Memorial Health Air Care.

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources conservation officers, the Backus Fire Department and North Memorial Health Ambulance also assisted at the crash site.
