ROYALTON-Two women were injured when the all-terrain vehicle they were on crashed Saturday near Royalton.
The crash occurred at 10:07 p.m. Saturday on 230th Avenue, about a half mile north of Nature Road in Buckman Township, east of Royalton.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office reports Kylie Pickar, 28, Royalton, was driving a side-by-side ATV with passenger Ellissia Manea, 26, Royalton, northbound on 230th Avenue. Pickar swerved to miss a pedestrian who ran onto the roadway. Pickar lost control of the ATV while overcorrecting, went into the ditch on the east side of the road and rolled the ATV, the sheriff's office reported.
Gold Cross Ambulance transported Pickar to the St. Cloud Hospital and Manea to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. It is unknown the extent of injuries of both parties.
The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol and the Morrill-Lakin-Mount Morris-Buckman First Response Team.
