ATV crash sends man and 5-year-old passenger to hospital

CUSHING -- A 29-year-old man and a 5-year-old girl were injured Sunday, Sept. 22, when the all-terrain vehicle they were on crashed northeast of Cushing.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office responded at 5:26 p.m. to an ATV crash with injuries on 280th Street, approximately 1.5 miles east of Bear Road in Cushing Township.

Andrew Amstutz of Randall was operating an ATV traveling west on 280th Street, when the ATV went off the roadway, into the south ditch and rolled.

Amstutz was airlifted by Life Link III to St. Cloud Hospital with unknown injuries. The 5-year-old passenger was transported by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls with unknown injuries.

The Minnesota DNR and Randall Fire and Rescue also responded to the crash.
