SWANVILLE — A 45-year-old Little Falls man was injured Saturday, Aug. 15, after being thrown from the all-terrain vehicle he was operating 3 miles south of Swanville.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the ATV crash at 10:39 a.m. on 25th Avenue, south of Balcony Road. According to the sheriff’s office, Victor Althaus was traveling south on 25th Avenue testing his ATV when the throttle stuck, causing the ATV to accelerate. Althaus was thrown from the ATV and it went into the ditch, the sheriff’s office reported.
Althaus was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with unknown injuries.
The Swanville First Response Team also was on scene assisting the sheriff’s office.
