Authorities arrest 2 in drug bust in rural Walker
Several items of suspected controlled substance were seized from the residence, including 2,151 grams of suspected marijuana and 1,736 grams of psilocybin mushrooms candy bars.
WALKER — Two Walker men were arrested Friday, Aug. 6, after authorities confiscated about 4,500 grams of several kinds of controlled substances at a residence in rural Walker.
Investigators with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Leech Lake Tribal Police Department conducted a search warrant at a residence in Turtle Lake Township as part of an ongoing investigation into the sales and use of controlled substances.
Several items of suspected controlled substance were seized from the residence, including 104 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 2,151 grams of suspected marijuana, 141 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 1,736 grams of psilocybin mushrooms candy bars, 476 grams of suspected marijuana wax and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. In addition, U.S. currency related to the sale of controlled substances as well as firearms and ammunition were found and seized as evidence.
A 42-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both of Walker, were arrested and are awaiting formal charges of first- and fifth-degree possession and sales of controlled substance; and being a felon in possession of firearms and child endangerment.
