WALKER — Two people are in Cass County Jail awaiting possible criminal charges for allegedly dealing a large amount of methamphetamine in the Walker area.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant Saturday, June 20, pursuant to an ongoing drug investigation at a residence in Turtle Lake Township in rural Walker. A thorough search of the residence was conducted, and a large amount of suspected methamphetamine
was seized, along with drug paraphernalia, firearms and ammunition.
A traffic stop was conducted nearby, and the occupants of the residence — a 34-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman — were detained and arrested.
Assisting with the investigation was the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force.
