PINE RIVER — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Feb. 8, made several arrests related to the sale and use of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine, in rural Pine River . The arrests are a result of a multi-faceted ongoing investigation.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies conducted a traffic stop in Pine River Township to investigate traffic violations. A 43-year-old Pine River woman, who was a passenger, was arrested for violating the conditions of her release. Another passenger, a 49-year-old man, was arrested for third-degree drug possession and having a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and currency related to the sale of methamphetamine, which was seized. Both were transported to the Cass County Detention Center and are awaiting formal criminal charges.
As part of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at a hotel room at Northern Lights Casino Hotel in Walker. While conducting a search of the room, suspected methamphetamine was located and seized. A 47-year-old St. Cloud woman was arrested and transported to the Cass County Detention Center for drug possession and child endangerment.
