Authorities arrest Crosby man in drug investigation

CROSBY — A 61-year-old Crosby man was arrested Friday, Aug. 14, after the Crow Wing County Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division executed a search warrant at a residence near Crosby.

The Crosby man, who continued to be in Crow Wing County Jail Monday, was booked for first-degree possession of 50 grams or more of a controlled substance and first-degree sale of 17 grams or more.

In a news release Monday, Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard reported that shortly after 5 a.m. Friday, the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division along with assistance from the Crow Wing County Tactical Response Team, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Minnesota State Patrol and the Crosby and Brainerd police departments executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on the 2900 block of Highway 6 near Crosby. Authorities seized a street value of $10,000 in controlled substances.

The Crosby man was taken into custody and is awaiting formal charges to be processed in Crow Wing County District Court.

Goddard thanked all the agencies involved with the joint operation, a news release stated.
