Authorities release name of inmate who died in jail

The Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office Thursday, Jan. 16, released the name of the 39-year-old man who died Jan. 3 after life-saving measures were unsuccessful in the Crow Wing County Jail.

The man was identified as Joshua Allen-Elmer Vogt. Vogt was arrested at 11:05 p.m. Jan. 2 by the Nisswa Police Department for an outstanding warrant.

No information on the cause or manner of death was available, as the Ramsey County Medical Examiner has not released its final autopsy report.
