LITTLE FALLS-A 27-year-old Melrose man was arrested just before 10 p.m. Saturday for second-degree possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest occurred during a traffic stop near the intersection of First Street and Fourth Avenue Northeast in Little Falls.
A Morrison County sheriff's deputy pulled the man over, who admitted not having a valid driver's license and was placed under arrest. During the impound inventory of his vehicle, 37 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located and seized. The methamphetamine seized has a street value of more than $1,000.
The Melrose man is being held in the Morrison County Jail awaiting formal charges.
