The Brainerd Fire Department responded to back-to-back calls Thursday morning.

The first call was reported at 8:30 a.m. and was a vehicle fire on Highway 210 and 10th Avenue Northeast. Upon arrival, firefighters learned a tire on a semitrailer was on fire and had already been extinguished.

At 8:35 a.m., firefighters were called to a fire alarm at Applebee's, 15240 Dellwood Drive, Baxter. Firefighters investigated and found that construction activity caused the alarm to go off.
