Brainerd Area Coalition for Peace (BACP) will conduct a vigil against police brutality on Saturday, Dec. 13.

The vigil will be held at the intersection of Sixth and Washington streets in Brainerd (near the Sawmill Inn). The vigil is scheduled to last from 1-2:30 p.m.

The BACP vigil is in solidarity with national protests against police brutality, including a major demonstration in Washington, D.C. planned for Saturday, Dec. 13.

The BACP vigil will support strong reforms in the criminal justice system against police brutality, racial profiling, harsh prison sentences for nonviolent offenses, solitary confinement, and institutional bias in the justice system based on class, race, and ethnicity. The BACP vigil will support justice for police brutality victims.
