BAXTER — Scenic River Drive from Mississippi Road to Camwood Trail in Baxter will be closed to through traffic for construction starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 10.
The roadway is expected to be closed until the first week of August. The road will remain open to local traffic only, with periodic closures for specific construction activities. During this time traffic should utilize alternate routes. Baxter will send an official notice of the reopening when construction is complete.
The purpose of this notice is to let motorists know of this work and to provide advance notice to
emergency services to be aware of possible slow traffic or closed roadways, Baxter officials reported. Motorists are asked to drive with caution when in a construction zone and expect traffic delays and detours during this construction phase.
