Baxter crash sends driver to hospital

A Baxter woman failed to stop at the stop sign and the sports utility vehicle she was driving crossed in front of a GMC Yukon, police reported.

BAXTER — A 49-year-old Baxter woman was injured Sunday, April 25, following a two-vehicle crash in Baxter.

The Baxter Police Department was called at 1:22 p.m. to the crash at the intersection of Highland Scenic Road and Cedardale Lane South. The Baxter woman, Cheryl L. Hull, driving a Mercury Mountaineer, failed to stop at the stop sign and the SUV crossed in front of a GMC Yukon, police reported. The driver of the Yukon, Austin B. Houle, 17, Baxter, was not injured.

Hull was injured and transported to an area hospital by a private party.

The Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene.
