Taylor Borowicz, a homeschooled student from Baxter, received the Emerson National Scholarship.
Borowicz is among 30 recipients of the scholarship awarded annually to Emerson employees. She is the daughter of Wayne Borowicz, who is senior design engineer at Automation Solutions, Fluid and Motion Control in Elk River.
Borowicz plans to study chemical engineering at the University of North Dakota.
Emerson Scholarship winners receive $2,500 per academic year for four years. Selection is based upon grade point average, class rank, national test scores, school activities and community involvement.
