VALLEY CITY, N.D.--Bernatello's will purchase Pizza Corner's familiar orange and blue vacuum-packed frozen pizzas, according to a news release.
The acquisition will be effective Friday, May 20.
Sales and delivery of Pizza Corner frozen pizza will expand to include a larger fleet of trucks, more sales professionals and sales routes throughout the Dakotas. Pizza Corner frozen pizza production will be relocated to other Bernatello's facilities. The quality and ingredients will remain the same and many Pizza Corner employees will be able to stay with the company in Valley City.
Like Pizza Corner, Bernatello's is a family-owned and -operated business. Bernatello's is based in Maple Lake, Minn., with additional production in Kaukauna, Wis.
Pizza Corner founder Dave Zubrod will manage and consult for the Valley City Bernatello's distribution center and will continue to own and operate the Pizza Corner restaurant in Valley City. The restaurant will not be affected by the partnership.

Bernatello's officials and Zubrod were not available for comment.
Pizza Corner started as a restaurant in 1977 on the corner of Second Avenue and Main Street where it still stands. In 1980, the business began making frozen pizzas that are sold in grocery stores in the Upper Midwest. The dozen pizza flavors include Deluxe, Chicken Alfredo, Taco Style Pizza and more.
