Two Brainerd High School seniors were selected as National Merit finalists.
Brainerd High School seniors Maison Jobe and Gustave Robinson advanced to National Merit Finalist standing and are now in the running for a variety of scholarships offered through the Preliminary SAT, the national merit scholarship qualifying test program.
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/national merit scholarship qualifying test during their junior year of high school. Of the approximate 1.6 million entrants each year, top-scoring students are chosen as semifinalists in the fall of their senior year.
