Bicycle versus vehicle sends one to hospital

A 54-year-old Brainerd man was injured after the bike he was riding collided with a vehicle about 7:35 a.m. Monday on Second Avenue and Washington Street in northeast Brainerd, reported the Brainerd Police Department.

A 54-year-old Brainerd man was injured after the bike he was riding collided with a vehicle about 7:35 a.m. Monday on Second Avenue and Washington Street in northeast Brainerd, reported the Brainerd Police Department.

The biker rider, Tate Heikkenen, was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph Medical Center where he was treated and then released.

The driver of the vehicle, Erica Swedberg, 22, Brainerd, was not injured.
