SCANDIA - A body found in the St. Croix River this weekend is that of 37-year-old Candy Belle Delmonaco, Washington County officials confirmed Thursday.
Delmonaco was reported missing to Maple Grove police last Tuesday. Her 2014 red Toyota was found the next day at Interstate State Park near Taylors Falls.
A boater Saturday evening discovered the body floating near the shore of the river in Scandia.
An autopsy will be completed to determine the cause of death, but officials suspect Delmonaco drowned by suicide.
