The Cass County Sheriff's Office received a report Jan. 12 of a found body in the city of Cass Lake.
Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reported officers received a call about the body at 8:09 a.m. Jan. 12 and responded, locating a deceased juvenile female. An autopsy was scheduled and the incident remains under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department.
The sheriff's office stated there is no threat to public safety in relation to this incident.
No further information will be released at this time, pending final autopsy results, according to the sheriff's office.
