The New Bohemian Gallery (Franklin Arts Center) will have an opening reception from 5-8 p.m. today, Sept. 12.

The inaugural exhibition, Tiny Worlds, examines what is both within and outside of a space, and includes many things that relate to the unknown, and imagery and ideas that are unfamiliar in their present state.

The title of the exhibition, is just a hint of what to expect, as each artist presents artwork that creates its own alternative environment, each with imaginative visual displays. Whether it be the fantasy inspired illustrations by Stephanie Kunze, or the industrial looking, but very whimsical sculptures of tiny worlds and brains, by Ronald Gonzalez, each piece focuses on different aspects of the overall theme of a tiny world. Throughout the gallery there will find be a selection of artwork consisting of illustrations, sculpture, video, photography, and mixed media pieces. This exhibition includes artists from Minnesota, and a few from the east coast.

The Tiny Worlds exhibit will run through Oct. 4.
